Pumpkin Bread Recipe

3 ½ cups flour, sifted
3 cups sugar
2 tsp soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp burnt sugar flavoring
½ tsp black walnut flavoring
Place all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and make a hole in the center. Add 1 cup oil, 4 eggs, 2 cups pumpkin, 2/3 cup water. Beat until all ingredients are well blended. Grease well and flour 2 loaf pans and fill until half full. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until well done.

Applesauce Nut Bread Recipe

2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp soda
½ tsp cinnamon
¾ cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp melted shortening
1 cup smooth applesauce
Sift dry ingredients; add nuts. Beat eggs well; add melted shortening and applesauce. Add mixture to dry ingredients and stir. Pour into well-greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool loaf on rack.

Lemon Bread Recipe

1 pkg lemon cake mix
1 pkg instant lemon pudding mix
1 cup lukewarm water
½ cup cooking oil
4 eggs.
Beat until well mixed (can add ¼ cup poppy seeds if desired). Put in well-greased pans and bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
Lemon Glaze:
5 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
Cook mixture for a few seconds until sugar is dissolved and brush over bread.

Breakfast Cinnamon Puffs Recipe

Mix together: ½ cup cooking oil, ½ cup sugar, 1 egg
Sift together: 1 ½ cup flour, 1 ½ tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt and ¼ tsp nutmeg
Stir into creamed mixture alternately with ½ cup milk.
Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Carefully remove baked puffs (will be hot) from oven and roll in 6 tbsp melted butter, then a mixture of ½ cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
Serve warm.

Date Nut Pumpkin Bread Recipe

1 cup butter
1 ½ cups sugar
4 eggs
2 cups canned pumpkin
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 pkg diced dates or whole dates cut up
½ cup raisins
1 cup chopped pecans
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add canned pumpkin and mix well. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon together. Add to pumpkin mixture and beat well. Add dates, raisins, and pecans; mix until well coated and dispersed through mixture.
Bake in loaf pan, one pound coffee can or 13-oz salted peanut cans (remove wrapper). All containers should be buttered before the batter is added. Fill containers ¾ full with batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 60-75 minutes or until bread tests are done.
